2016, we have almost endless possibilities, to rethink business models and work. To exploit these opportunities, abz * austria, KLAITON, Seinfeld Professionals / Northcote.Recht, theLiving Core and Qualysoft invited to a press conference as part of a five-part series of events targeted at managers and entrepreneurs of the middle class for interactive exchange. In this press talk the organizers summarized the main themes, inputs and the reactions of corporate representatives.
"2013 were 99.6% of all active companies in Austria - which corresponded to approximately 257,000 companies - so-called SMEs. They employed nearly two-thirds of the total workforce, approximately 1.7 million people. Reason enough to offer representatives of the middle class a platform for input, discussions and networking and its own series of events, "explains Manuela Vollmann, CEO of abz * austria introducing the motivation for the launched series.
At the same time an interdisciplinary perspective was backed up by the diverse activities of the organizers. The variety of topics ranging from the implications of the trend towards digitization of business models, on the question of how well medium business premises change. Again and again the connection of all subjects came clear - the need to re-think leadership and corporate culture.
Andreas Hieger ususally asks his clients and customers how much courage to change they have: "It makes a difference whether you only want to speed up a process or you want to anchor a whole new business model, including the necessary underlying structure".
But all agree that new structures die very quickly if the management doesn't support them. It is also generally agreed that there are already a lot of innovations in medium-sized companies, but these are shown in public far too little and often only the large companies communicate their innovations. That's why a continuation of the series of events makes sense.
