Danube Region Business Forum 2013
14 November 2013 - ICT: New Developments in Information and Communication Technology
“Cooperation, innovations and networks are the key to economic success in global competition. All the more important are regional meetings of important proponents from business, research and politics, as was the case at this year's Danube Region Business Forum with representatives from 20 European countries,” Christoph Leitl, president of the Austrian Economic Chambers (WKO), emphasized in his opening speech at the two-day Danube Region Conference at Haus der Wirtschaft in Vienna.
For the third time now, the Austrian Economic Chambers organized the Danube Region Business Forum in Vienna as part of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and in compliance with the Directorate-General for Regional Policy, offering companies, research institutions and decision-makers in the public sector from the Danube Region a unique opportunity to enlarge their networks and to establish new business contacts.
The event was aimed this time at companies in the information and communication technology field, ICT users, universities, other research institutions as well as representatives of the public sector from across the Danube Region. Included among the main topics are new university and company-specific ICT developments, cloud computing, workshops on e-health and e-invoicing, ICT-relevant country presentations and cross-border e-solutions in the municipal e-government field.
Qualysoft was represented by CEO Peter Oros, who held a presentation entitled "Crisis as a chance? The Danube Region makes IT possible!"
