QualysmArt: “Technology Meets Art” – Summer Festival Highlights from June, 13th 2013. QualysmArt Vernissage hosted by SAMSUNG.
“Come in and fly away” was the word on June 13th, 2013 at the Qualysoft summer festival, including a vernissage. Together with SAMSUNG, Qualysoft united technology and art under the brand name of “QualysmArt”. Selected works of art by aspiring domestic and international artists were presented. In addition to a new selection of pictures from Gallery KOGART, Qualysoft showed works by Dieter Delle, an Austrian painter and graphic artist, pictures by the Hungarian artist Renata Kosaras and impressionistic paintings by the late artist Mario Arbesser.
Combined with SAMSUNG flat screens that were framed like real paintings and hanging on the wall or placed on easels, physical met with virtual art. This allowed pictures to be shown that were not actually present. In “QualysmArt OUTER SPACE” guests could examine up close a real Russian type Sokol KV-2 space suit, models of the ISS and the Saturn IB launch vehicle as well as a 3.5-billion-year-old, 25-kg meteorite from the Leoben Space Travel Museum.
The event was opened by Vince Szalay-Bobrovniczky, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary in Vienna, Anica Matzka Dojder, member of the Provincial Parliament and a member of the Culture Committee of the City of Vienna, as well as the high-energy physicist and head of the Austrian Space Forum and scientific project manager at ESA and CERN, Norbert Frischauf.
After the vernissage at our new office on the 11th floor of the Saturn Tower, it was up to Wolke 21, where the after-show party was held with live music by Anita & Friends, summer cocktails and the show act drumatical theatre. All in all a felicitous evening full of pleasure for the eyes, ears and taste buds!
