As Qualysoft implements projects at the cutting edge of IT-industry, our experts come across news and trends on a daily basis.
In our first technology meetup in Budapest in early December 2015 our specialists shared their knowledge about Java related tools with 60 guests, consisting of skilled developers as well as less experienced visitors. The event was organized in cooperation with Ericsson, one of our biggest partners.
Java Microbenchmark Harness (JMH) was presented by Zoltán Reegn (Ericsson), who gave a short introduction of the functionalities and demonstrated a few eye-opening benchmarks.
Qualysoft Software Developer Attila Balogh-Biró talked about the Hadoop ecosystem. He is working on various projects at Ericsson and gave an overview about the history, architecture and features of the Apache Pig compared to HDFS. A demo from Attila will be available for download at the meetup group page starting next week for those who are interested: http://www.meetup.com/JavaNDrink/events/226674291/.
In the last session Zoltán Baji, Software Architect at Qualysoft, showed a real-life example of a Java technology stack choosing based on one of Qualysofts successful projects. Among the topics were html5, AngularJS, Spring MVC, JPA/Hibernate, and many more.
Because of the great feedback, we will continue the meetup series and are currently planning the next topics for the events in 2016.
